Pomegranate is one of the symbols of Armenia, representing fertility, abundance and marriage.
It is traditional to eat pomegranates on Rosh Hashana(israeli feast) because the pomegranate, with its numerous seeds, symbolizes fruitfulness. Also, it is said to have 613 seeds, which corresponds with the 613 mitzvot or commandments of the torah.
for me its the most sexy fruit i ever know.
